I’m interrupting my usual posts about #thelonelymortician (because I’m nervous. And excited it comes out on Friday. And did I say nervous?) and giving you a peek into my author life.
For each book I’m working on (I’ll post about that sometime soon too), there is what I call a dump file with so much essential information.
One of the important things is my word count tracking.
I’m not doing #NaNoWriMo this year (partly because I already know I can write 50,000 words in a month, and partly because I don’t need any more stress in my life). But I AM writing, and by the end of today or tomorrow, I hope to reach the midpoint of my next book. The working title is Doors to Unlock, but I have to wait and see if I can carry the theme throughout the whole thing.

I’ve been practicing my author signature. I think this is as good as it gets. 
I bet you’re dying to know (mortician humor pun intended) what I listen to when I write. For this book, I listened mostly to this peaceful, mood music from Jeremy Soule (you’re welcome).
